tally ho
The March figures:
| item | $ |
| rolled over from last month ignoring the Sea Colors purchase for the moment |
87 |
| getting out of bed ($1 per day) | 31 |
| walking ($1 per mile) a low estimate, for a total of 99 miles since New Year's |
19 |
| packages mailed ($2 per each) | 8 |
| stash redistributed (50% of market value) |
171 |
| finishing ($1 per 30 grams) 4 scaves, 1 shawl, 1 BIG blanket |
56 |
| total yarn budget | 372 |
And on the outgoing side of the ledger:
| item | $ |
| Sea Colors yarn (February) | 175 |
| new yarn from Circles 7 sk Karaoke - SWTC 1 sk Bear Cub - SWTC 1 sk Sheep 2 - Sheep Shop 1 sk Lumpy Bumpy - Farmhouse 1 sk Silky Wool - Elsbeth Lavold |
111 |
| old yarn from swap (estimate of cost when new) | 33 |
| total spent | 319 |
| total remaining | 53 |
Whew! Back in black.
I may continue with this practice, though likely at a slower rate. Dear Reader, if you are open to receiving some of my stash, just let me know what weights, colors, and variegations you like. If you have received some of my stash and feel weird about it, just let me know. Doubtless there's a solution.

Ha, I totally wish it worked that way. "I did all these good things, so now I am allowed to spend this mcuh money on yarn."
That's fabulous, until I look at the *other* spreadsheet that tells me how much money I actually *have* and, somehow, my yarn budget has disappeared! I think the House Fairy stole it.
At any rate, kudos to you on giving yourself incentives. :)

Hi! Your method looks like so much more fun than 'stashalong.'
I am certainly up for stash swapping if you want (I'm back to charity knitting) - though I have a tendency to buy the one ball of yarn rather than larger (non-scarf/non-hat) project-sized purchases.

As you know, I have no problem receiving yarn from your stash.

Great job getting back on track with the yarn budget! I knew you'd manage to be in the black by the month's end.

I continue to be impressed with your record keeping and restraint when buying yarn. I may be interested in your stash redistribution project. I'm trying to knit from my stash this year, buying no new yarn. But, there is a clause in there that I can buy used!
