Rebecca, bubbles, what a great idea! After I had let these comments filter through my head for a half an hour or so, it finally dawned on me: wait! I *have* a bubble machine. (Kind of like, "Oh, I *live* in Boston.")
Jennifer, I agree; the effect is enchanting. I did try the Circles version of scribble lace for about five rows, and found it too maddening. More power to everyone who got their way through.

Jenn, the flamingos were a major score when I found them. Maybe I can get a couple of plastic ones and nestle them in the forsythia for special occasions.
Dorothy, I like the purple, too! The Tibet Silk Rayon is a great foil for fuzzy things.
