Have you ever noticed that exhaustion leaves the door open for sadness and listlessness? Yesterday I spent the day in lab (2 pm until 1 am) preparing for a presentation this morning. The talk (just an in-house thing with the research group) went well enough, but I am fried, baby, fried. I toyed with not blogging, but I can just tell that I needed to post something to keep the momentum going. It's not knitting, it's another acquisition picture. You would think that I had inside info about a wool famine. Not so, dear reader. I have a bottomless rationalization: I am supporting the wonderful community at Circles with every purchase. Most weekends, I go down and dispose of some income in order to help Allison with her mission. Yesterday, before communing with my data and bioinformatics servers on three continents, I popped down to the store to see what wanted to come home. (Oh yes, all of that yarn is lonely, I tell you, craving the touch and admiration of humans. And it gets a little nervous - yea I tell you, even frightened - locked up by itself in the dark all night long.) Big bonus: I had the pleasure of seeing Allison (not so surprising), Judy and Jenn, and meeting Sara. So this is what I adopted:
Blackberry Ridge, Mer-Made, in Blue Violet, fingering weight, and enough for a big shawl.
If none of this inspires you to leave a comment (and I don't imagine that it would), why don't you just tell me when your birthday is? I'd like to know.
Now that you mention it ...
Everyone, thanks for reading and commenting. I am still figuring out the best way to put a calendar with dates to remember on the blog.
Mafia, thanks for asking! (date removed when DH pointed out a possible identity theft risk)

hmm... I thought I posted yesterday, but I guess not. My b-day is May 1, aka international workers day. That is really beautiful yarn.
